Sara Kimble has served as an Educator for 14 years. She graduated with honors from The Pennsylvania State University with a BS degree in Elementary Education and Concentration in Music and Dance Performance. She attended graduate school at Wilkes University receiving her Master’s degree as a Reading Specialist. Sara began her teaching in Beverly Hills, California at Page Private School. Here she started after school programs in dance, student leadership and community involvement, as well as after school tutoring. She orchestrated the development of a technology program at the school as well as developed curriculum for Project Based Learning units surrounding Science. After finishing her year, she moved back home to Pennsylvania and began teaching third grade at Mansfield Township Elementary School in New Jersey.
Sara also partnered with Valley Family Therapy and offered Reading and Writing summer camps for students Pre-K through 5th grade. Through working with Valley Family, Sara was asked to open a Private Preschool and Kindergarten in Bensalem, PA. She served as the Educational Director of the school and partnered with outside therapy practices to incorporate services for students in need of wrap around, Speech and Occupational Therapy. Through Sara’s efforts, Bright Beginners Academy officially received their Private Academic School License.
In recent years Sara has worked as a Reading Interventionist at the Southern Lehigh Intermediate School and is currently the Reading Specialist for Salisbury Area School District. She has been asked to serve on the Leading your Salisbury Team, which is a team of administrators and teachers that plan to improve the school and district as a whole through outreach and professional development. Since May, Sara has been working with Red Door on Private Academic Licensure. She is very excited to be a part of the team of fabulous educators at Red Door and is very much looking forward to meeting all of the families that make Red Door incredibly special!
Away from her career in education, Sara enjoys spending time with her two children, Aisley and Chase, and is a dance instructor at Stage Door Studio in Easton.
